Clinical significance of determination of Pro-Brain natriuretic peptidе (aminoterminal fragment) - NT-proBNP at cardiovascular pathology
Scienlific literature survey regarding new possibilities of determination of aminoterminal fragment of brain natriuretic peptide's proenzyme (NT-proBNP) at cardio-vascular pathology and some of “out-cardiac” diseases. In particular, here we review the marker's role in detection of usually hardly diagnosticated diastolic disfunction. We eval-uate the role of NT>-roBNP as the predictor of myocardial complications and lethal outcomes at acute cardiac failure, acute coronary syndrome, especially without elevation of ST segment. Separately we consider the questions regarding meaning of the test for patients with kidney function disor-ders, oncology patients on chemiotherapy, diabetes patients. We also emphasize the economic effect of NT-proBNP deter-mination at diagnostic, choice of therapy and determination of cardiac failure's stage in comparison with instrumental methods.
